To appear vaguely intellectual there is only one option.

To appear vaguely intellectual there is only one option - the turtle neck sweater. Turtle necks are heinous pieces of clothing worn by professors, wine connoisseurs and scientists a like. Often accompanied by a sports jacket, and a pair of sharp slacks, it is a flexible piece of attire. I don't know why anyone would wear it, except to project an image of vague intellectualism. You don't know what it is, but that person looks smart... Obviously they value books, microscopes and the periodic table of the elements over fashion... but do they value dignity? That is what they are giving up. You may appear smart, however, people will laugh at you.

At the moment I don't really know what I think about fashion in general, but I have a firm opinion on the turtle neck. It should of never been made.

I no longer want to buy clothing.

Clothes just seem so pointless. It's to cover our nakedness right? Or is that being a bit minimalist? I am a university student, which is another way for saying that I am poor, and I was walking around the other day and it occurred to me how absurd my situation was. I was wearing roughly $200 of clothes (including shoes) and only had about $27 in my bank account, isn't that ridiculous? I actually think what I was wearing was (relatively) quite modest too. So why do we parade around acting like something that we are not? Why do girls wear $500 shoes when they earn $500 a week? I mean there are obvious answers; to impress, to attract, because of low self esteem, they like feeling pretty, whatever. It could also be that our society has created this expectation. If you don't dress like a superstar then you are not feminine.

Most people in my country are in huge debt, on the outside they appear wealthy, with nice clothes, nice cars, nice houses (with pools), shinning teeth, but, in reality they are paupers. They don't think they are paupers, after all they have all this nice stuff, but really they are in slavery to the dollar. I am too. I don't know how to live or have fun without spending money. I need to eat out, I need to go see movies, buy video games, snort the occasional line of coke (kidding). What else can I do to make myself feel happy? These things are transient though and obviously don't give me real happiness either...

Is it a revolutionary idea to say "Ok, I only earn $500 dollars a week, I am not going to dress like I earn $2000 even though everyone else does and an expectation exists that if I am going to find a girlfriend/boyfriend that I have to look like a rockstar." ? Honestly, if someone is going to judge me on the clothes I am wearing as opposed to my character I want nothing to do with them. By all means judge me on my appearance though! If I am obese or dirty I think you have a right to. If you don't care about health or hygiene that is gross.

Well, I can't stop buying clothes though... and I don't want to look like a bum, but I refuse to spend all my money on crap, I have dreams that I want to achieve and money will help me get there...Well then I guess it's just a matter of priorities.

Paul Hancock's School of Budo

I am setting up a Martial Arts School. It will be called Paul Hancock's School of Budo. My name is not Paul Hancock, however, I did go to school with a Paul Hancock who had a shrewd mind and 6 fingers on his left hand, and in this regard it is a dedication to 6 finger Paul.

Here's a little bit of info about my martial arts history. I started martial arts when I was 7 and by the time I was 25 had achieved black belt rank in 17 different arts. 6 of these black belts were in various schools of Tae Kwon Do while 3 of them were in what I can only describe as Arcane ass kickery. I am a magician of Fury.

Most people work a full time job 9-5, Monday to Friday. Well, I kick ass 9-5, 7 days a week and I DO NOT REST. I am relentless in my acquisition of fighting skills and when I strike I come like a thunderclap, powerful and swiftly.

Many people like to challenge me and I welcome everyone of them. All I ask is that you write your will before you come against me, and in it you leave all your earthly possessions to me. This way when I have put you in a grave I can make sure your family is taken care of, and can take your wife out for a nice baked dinner. Your children will go to a public school and will work part time jobs in order to support me in my pursuit of Budo.

In past lives I fought in all major wars and I was one of the 300 spartans. I was also at one stage a Belgian Cigar manufacturer who also dabbled in puppetry and Chinese water dragons. I believe the character Wolverine from the X-MEN was based upon me as well as Professor Xavier. I have proof of this and can provide it upon inquiry.

If anyone is interested in joining my Budo Academy please let me know. I plan to make classes available 24-7, as like I said I DO NOT REST. I will teach Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, Karate, Judo, Greco Roman Wrestling, Fox Hunting and Mind Combat.

First Post: Mission Statement

I plan to use this blog to write down the ridiculous thoughts and scenarios that spring to my mind. I want to make myself laugh, but maybe some other people will think it is funny too. Sometimes I want to write serious things, things about poetry, and surgery, and small harmonicas, and how important it is to protect the environment et cetera. When I feel like it I will do so. This blog will not be focused on grammar or what some people call "quality writing" such things do not concern me, they are for the trophy hunters who are searching for glory.

Sometimes I will write positive posts, posts that make you think that you can take on the world. The next day I will probably crush your hopes like a brittle twig under the foot of a pure bred husky. The husky is a beautiful creature, one that thrives when it has a companion.

I may be insane.
